There's more to high performance sport than training for an event, turning up, and competing. Athletes, particularly in the professional era, have so much to think about...

Eating healthily on a tight budget, balancing a social life with an intense training programme, dealing with the media, satisfying sponsors, handling the expectations of others, coping with long periods of time 'on-the-road', building functional relationships with coaches and team-mates, keeping anti-doping whereabouts information up-to-date, and dealing with injury are just some of the additional challenges faced by athletes. Throw in the everyday demands of human life, personal relationships, work and education, and the busy life of the athlete, become the hectic life of the person.

Given the demands that an athlete faces in his or her everyday life, it is unsurprising that lifestyle, personal development and welfare management has become a recognised support service for elite athletes. But you don't have to be a high performance athlete to benefit from simple life planning. Personal management and coping skills can help individuals of all abilities to reach their potential.

SPECIAL OFFER
We're currently offering consultations (phone or video call) to new clients at the special rate of €35/£30 (normally €50/£40). If you would like help with direction, development or management of your life demands, or are simply exploring what to do next, then please get in touch.

Please also check out our 2021 Athlete Development Project for young Irish athletes.
